| This bill established a legal basis for conducting pilot scientific trials of cannabis, limited in location, time, and scope, to gain knowledge about the effects of regulated use of cannabis for nonmedical purposes. | The first cannabis pilot project started in Basel-Stadt on January 30, 2023! A total of 374 study participants can obtain legal cannabis there. In August 2023, the city of Zurich followed suit, offering space for over 2,000 participants in the "Züri Can" pilot project. |
