Fabian joined us 30 years ago

It was May 1996: I had published the first edition of the legal aid brochure Shit happens together with Polo from the ZAGJP, and we hosted a launch party with risotto at what was then the Gassenküche. That’s where Fabian stopped by, and he stayed: as a member, an active participant, a donor, and a board member – an indispensable pillar of support for over 30 years now. For many years, it was just the two of us on the board. We’ve weathered difficult times and experienced viral moments together. We’re different people and have different perspectives. But we’ve always kept moving forward together. That’s the longest I’ve ever been actively involved and worked alongside anyone.
