In 2013, ten years ago, I wanted to know again. I had quit my main job at the time and planned to try again: A new edition of Shit happens was to be created, with crowdfunding for the printing costs. Half a year was secured, so not too much.

We were down to 200 members in 2012, and it seemed like we were going to end up like so many associations: slowly rotting away because we simply didn't have the funds for more. But I didn't want such an end after more than 20 years. I wanted to at least give it a decent ending. Hence the idea to realize the 9th edition Shit happens over the summer of 2013.

Well, it succeeded! The media reported and there were many new members. Now it is ten years in which I have lived entirely from this and for this work. Things always turn out differently than you think, and only those who dare win. Of course, it has also been exhausting and we have repeatedly skidded close to the abyss. But just: no risk, no fun. Enough of the sayings: Many thanks to all of you who have made these ten years possible!
