From the Seki (LI81)

My job in our association is interesting and important, but also a bit of a roller coaster: time and again it is extremely tight financially. At the end of August 2018 it went on only because of the result of the membership letter from the beginning of August. Merci for the many 200 donations and many thanks to those who paid in 300, 500, 600, 1'000 or 3'000. Together we just about did it again! It will probably always be tight, but now the next months should become possible.

The revised and expanded 11th edition of our legal aid brochure Shit happens has been with our members for three months. Meanwhile, two thirds of the print run are out. Further copies can be requested via https://www.hanflegal.ch/bestellen.

On a sad note, Tom, one of the first members after the association was founded in 1991, passed away at the end of April 2018. He was actively involved in many projects, especially in the early days, and contributed a great deal to the development, even though he was partially paralyzed. I have lost a friend who impressed by the fact that he never complained despite his most difficult life circumstances, but made the best of it. Now he has died as a result of a heart attack, much too soon. I miss him.
